The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two time unified boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather criticized former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually happening.
