WHere is a home-style interpretation of a cocktail from a new cocktail list. It's a large-volume prepared mix that is packed with the essence of a festive period, which makes it ideal for your celebration. Reserve the remaining cordial to use in breakfast cocktails, puddings, or for another batch of this cocktail.
Bikini Recipe
Serves 10 servings
Ingredients for the Citrus Syrup (yields 750ml)
300ml newly squeezed clementine juice
200ml newly squeezed lemon juice
500g granulated sugar
Ingredients for the Cocktail (produces 850ml, serving 10)
400ml premium vodka
100ml London dry gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml citrus syrup (see above)
A few cranberries, for garnish
Mandarin essential oil, to finish
Method
To prepare the Cordial: Combine every components inside a pot, bring to a simmer, agitating until the sugar dissolves. Then, remove from the stove and let it to cool down entirely. Pour into a sealable bottle, seal and refrigerate it chilled, where it will keep for around four weeks.
For the Premix: Mix every liquids into a sizeable container, allow it to infuse for an hour, then strain best through a fine cloth, making it fully clarified.
To serve: Measure 85ml from the premix into your mixing glass filled with ice, gently stirring lightly for one minute to chill. Strain to a chilled martini glass or similar, garnish with some cranberries and complete it with a light spray of mandarin oil over the top.
